Coronavirus
Important information regarding Corona Virus
*updated 18/1/2021**
Due to the current lockdown in England, all Pro11 Trial activities are presently suspended. Dates remain open for booking from 21 March 2021 onwards, however this will of course be reviewed nearer the time in line with restrictions and guidelines. All bookings are backed by our flexible cancellation policy (see below).
Once operating again, Pro11 will follow the FA guidelines in regards to all our trial events as previously, and continue with all our additional safety measures in line with government guidance. If you are travelling to a trial from outside England, e.g. Wales, please abide by any restrictions in place for your area.
Arrival Time
Please arrive no more than 5-10 minutes prior to the time stated on your confirmation email. Please wait in your vehicle where possible until this time. On arrival players should report to the designated arrival point to register attendance and be issued with a numbered bib. Should you be delayed in arrival due to traffic etc, you must make yourself known to a Pro11 staff member immediately on arrival, before entering onto any of the pitches. Trialists are immediately separated into age groups and sent directly to their relevant pitch, and will remain in this ‘bubble’ for the whole of the trial event.
Outdoor Events
All our events will be conducted wholly outdoors. This means that there will no indoor space available to shelter in the event of bad weather, but parents are welcome to wait in their cars, if they have come in one. Briefing and debriefing will be conducted in an outdoor space, with social distancing, and registration will be conducted online and over the telephone prior to the event.
Social Distancing
In order to ensure that we can comply with Government / Public Health England’s advice on social distancing, we will be imposing limitations on the number of trialists who can attend our events, to enable participants, staff, scouts and parents to socially distance.
We would therefore ask for your help in ensuring that the smallest possible number of guests attend our trial events. Therefore, wherever possible, we are asking that all trial participants under the age of 18 be accompanied to the event by a maximum of 1 adult (e.g. parent, grandparent, relative or carer). Also, if you feel comfortable to do so, we would encourage parents and guardians to wait in their car whilst the event takes place, to minimise the number of people standing around the pitch.
In some locations, where there are additional restrictions, it may not be possible to have any spectators at all. In those cases, we can only allow spectators for trialists who have a medical, support or caring need. If this is the case, you would be advised prior to the trial event and we would ask for your co-operation in following the government guidelines in this respect.
Handwashing
Face Masks
As we are participating in a sporting activity with children, we will not require trial participants to wear a face mask. However, staff, scouts and parents / guardians are encouraged to wear face masks wherever possible.
Track & Trace
The information provided to Pro11 Trials when completing your Player Registration (the Booking Form) will also serve as Track & Trace Information for trial participants, should we be notified of a positive COVID after any of our events. Our events will also display a QR code at the pitch entrance, and we request all trialists, scouts and parents / carers to check in to the event using this on arrival.
Cancellation / Refund Policy
Our cancellation and refund policy has been temporarily relaxed to include players and direct family members of players who are self-isolating because of a positive COVID-19 test, COVID-19 symptoms, or because they have been advised to do so by Track & Trace.
If anyone who has booked on to a trial event cannot attend due to self-isolation, they will receive a full credit for any monies paid. This credit will then be available to use against a trial event on any other date or at any other location, for up to 12 months from the date of the original trial. If this is not possible, then a full refund will be issued. Cancellations can be made up to 2 hours’notice of an event starting, by email, telephone call or text message.
Should you need any further information regarding any of the above, please don’t hesitate to contact us by emailing info@pro11trials.co.uk or calling us on 0161 850 8782
