All our trials events are currently suspended due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. However, we are planning to resume in late August 2020, with additional social distancing measures in place.
Whilst we appreciate that this delay is frustrating for our customers, we hope that by late August the guidance from the government will support this, and the FA will have given their approval to u18s playing matches again. Also, all sports facilities are indicating that they should then be open to the public.
We are in the process of re-scheduling all of our previous dates to the autumn, to ensure that they can proceed safely at this time. Please see our calendar for current available dates for bookings.
When our trials begin again, there will be a number of additional measures introduced, to ensure the safety of all our participants, as follows.
For the time being, all our events will be conducted wholly outdoors. This means that there will no indoor space available to shelter in the event of bad weather, but parents are welcome to wait in their cars, if they have one. Briefing and debriefing will be conducted in an outdoor space, with social distancing, and registration will be conducted online and over the telephone prior to the event.
In order to ensure that we can comply with Government / Public Health England’s advice on social distancing, we will be imposing limitations on the number of trialists who can attend our events, to enable participants, staff, scouts and parents to socially distance.
We would also ask your help in ensuring that the smallest possible number of guests attend our trial events. Therefore, wherever possible, we are asking that all trial participants under the age of 18 be accompanied to the event by just 1 adult (e.g. parent, grandparent, relative or carer). Also, if you feel comfortable to do so, we would encourage parents and guardians to wait in their car whilst the event takes place, to minimise the number of people standing around the pitch.
As we are participating in a sporting activity, often with young children, we will not be requiring trial participants to wear a face mask. However, staff, scouts and parents / guardians are encouraged to wear face masks wherever possible.
To facilitate a cashless system, we have had to temporarily remove our deposit scheme option. This means that for the time being, payment will need to be made in full when booking a place on any of our trials. Our price remains the same, at £49.50 per player.
Customers who have already paid using the deposit scheme will be contacted around 1 week prior to their rescheduled trial date, to request payment by credit / debit card over the telephone.
Cancellation / Refund Policy
Our cancellation and refund policy will be temporarily relaxed to include players or family members of players who have chosen to self-isolate because of either a positive COVID-19 test or symptoms.
Therefore, if anyone who has booked on to a trial event decides not to attend due to self-isolation, they will receive a full credit for any monies paid. This credit will then be available to use against a trial event on any other date or at any other location, for up to 12 months from the date of the original trial. If this is not possible, then a full refund will be issued. Cancellations can be made up to 2 hours’notice of an event starting, by email, telephone call or text message.
Should you need any further information regarding any of the above, please don’t hesitate to contact us by emailing email@example.com or calling us on 0161 850 8787.
