Further to the recent announcement by the FA, we are delighted that we will be able to resume trials in August 2020, with all previously postponed dates being rescheduled through August, September and October 2020.
We will be following the FA’s guidelines in full, and additional social distancing measures will be in place, as follows:
Please arrive no more than 5-10 minutes prior to the time stated on your confirmation email. Please wait in your vehicle where possible until this time. On arrival players should report to the designated arrival point to register attendance and be issued with a numbered bib. Should you be delayed in arrival due to traffic etc, you must make yourself known to a Pro11 staff member immediately on arrival.
For the time being, all our events will be conducted wholly outdoors. This means that there will no indoor space available to shelter in the event of bad weather, but parents are welcome to wait in their cars, if they have come in one. Briefing and debriefing will be conducted in an outdoor space, with social distancing, and registration will be conducted online and over the telephone prior to the event. Viewing of the event will be possible as previously, but please make sure you stay off the pitch and keep your distance from other people viewing.
In order to ensure that we can comply with Government / Public Health England’s advice on social distancing, we will be imposing limitations on the number of trialists who can attend our events, to enable participants, staff, scouts and parents to socially distance.
We would also ask your help in ensuring that the smallest possible number of guests attend our trial events. Therefore, wherever possible, we are asking that all trial participants under the age of 18 be accompanied to the event by just 1 adult (e.g. parent, grandparent, relative or carer). Also, if you feel comfortable to do so, we would encourage parents and guardians to wait in their car whilst the event takes place, to minimise the number of people standing around the pitch.
As we are participating in a sporting activity with children, we will not require trial participants to wear a face mask. However, staff, scouts and parents / guardians are encouraged to wear face masks wherever possible.
To facilitate a cashless system, we have had to temporarily remove our deposit scheme option. This means that for the time being, payment will need to be made in full when booking a place on any of our trials. Our price remains the same at £49.50 per player.
Customers who have already paid using the deposit scheme will be contacted around 1 week prior to their rescheduled trial date, to request payment of the outstanding balance by credit / debit card over the telephone, or via Paypal.
Cancellation / Refund Policy
Our cancellation and refund policy has been temporarily relaxed to include players and direct family members of players who are self-isolating because of a positive COVID-19 test, COVID-19 symptoms, or because they have been advised to do so by Track & Trace.
If anyone who has booked on to a trial event cannot attend due to self-isolation, they will receive a full credit for any monies paid. This credit will then be available to use against a trial event on any other date or at any other location, for up to 12 months from the date of the original trial. If this is not possible, then a full refund will be issued. Cancellations can be made up to 2 hours’notice of an event starting, by email, telephone call or text message.
Should you need any further information regarding any of the above, please don’t hesitate to contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling us on 0161 850 8787
